Service Package prices are effective January 1, 2006, and are subject to change without notice unless pre-funded. The Service Packages are sold "as is". Product substitutions are available for an additional fee.

Cremation Service Packages include an alternative cremation container and crematory fees, but do not include cemetery fees.

Burial Service Packages do not include burial vaults or grave liners, nor do they include cemetery fees.

Service Packages do not include Cash Advance items (i.e. death certificates, obituaries, musicians, officiants, escorts, limousines, etc...).

Professional Services:

Funeral Director & Staff: Include twenty-four hour, 365 days per year accessibility; administrative expenses; arrangements conference; planning, supervising and coordinating service details with those involved in the final service.

Processing Legal Documents: Includes preparing, and filing necessary permits, certificates, authorizations, and consents; clerical and record keeping.

Preparation of the Deceased: Includes embalming, cosmetology, dressing, and placement of the deceased in the casket. Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary if you select certain final service arrangements, such as a final service with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement which does not require you to pay for it, such as an immediate cremation or immediate burial.

Ceremonies:

Unless otherwise noted, Service Packages include the use of Arbor Society facilities and staff for on-premise ceremonies or the use of equipment and staff for off-premise ceremonies. Rental costs for off-premise facilities are not included.

Simple Visitation: Informal time set aside for Family and Friends to pay their respects to the deceased and to extend sympathy and consolation to the family. This ceremony takes place immediately prior to the Final Service.

Memorial Service: Ceremony commemorating the life of the deceased, without the body present, and is held at a place of worship or another appropriate location. This service is usually associated with an immediate cremation or burial.

Final Service: Ceremony commemorating the life of the deceased, with the body present, and is held at a place of worship or another appropriate location. For traditional burials, a committal service immediately follows this ceremony. A committal service can be arranged for the inurnment of the cremated remains at another date.

Transportation:

Local transportation (within 25 mile radius of Arbor Society office) at no charge. Additional mileage charge for transportation beyond the local area is $1.50 per mile, one way.

Merchandise:

A 7% sales tax is assessed on products purchased, and is not included in the Service Package price.
