Catherine B Harris

Catherine B Harris, age 85, of Council Bluffs, passed away on March 22nd at Care Initiative in Avoca, Iowa.

Catherine was born March 24, 1938 in Villisca, Iowa to the late Vernon and Catherine (Williams) Sunken.  She graduated high school from St. Joseph Academy in Des Moines.  She married Robert Harris.  They were blessed with four children, James, Roberta, Carole and Richard.  They subsequently divorced and Catherine worked for many years for Sonny Gerber Auto Sales in Omaha, Nebraska

In addition to her parents and foster parents (Birk and Betty Lowther) Catherine was preceded in death by Robert Harris, her siblings, Gerald, Gene, Richard, Carolyn, Susan (Lowther) and her son James D. Harris in 2018.

Catherine is survived by her sister Jan (Sunken) Fuller, foster siblings Becky, Jeanne and Bill Lowther; her daughters Roberta Nusser of Council Bluffs and Carole (Andy) Fiesman of Dundee, and son Richard Harris of Omaha; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Harris, Robbie (Lacy) Hobus, Tyler Harris, Emily and Nathan Fiesman; great grandchildren, Elyse, Reyna, Hallie and Alora; and several special nieces and nephews.

Private celebration of Life Service after cremation.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer Foundation.
