Jo-Ann Alice Suter was born on December 12, 1945, in Buffalo, NY, to Joseph and Alice Morris. She passed away surrounded by her family on April 15, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 78. Jo-Ann, known for her love of gardening, bowling, and baseball, was a devoted Husker Football and K-State Soccer fan.  She cherished hosting Thanksgiving gatherings, extending invitations to all with warmth and generosity

In her professional life, Jo-Ann found fulfillment in the restaurant service industry. After retirement she dedicated her time as a CASA Volunteer and served on the Foster Care Review Board, advocating for children in need. Her commitment to serving others extended beyond her career.

Jo-Ann proudly served in the Air Force, where she exemplified dedication and loyalty. Her military associations were a significant part of her life and shaped her into the remarkable individual she became.

Jo-Ann is survived by her daughters, Dawn Baxter (Mike) and Denise Walton; her granddaughters, Laura Baxter and Christina Boggess (Jeffrey), her brother Jon Morris (Darlene); her sisters, Mary Clancy and Michaella Morris; nephew, Todd Clancy (Cindy); her beloved dog, Molly, who provided joy and companionship; extended step family, Jeffry Suter, Chris Suter (Monica), Desiree Suter (Chris), Nicholl Hess (Dan), Charli Suter, and Nik Suter; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Morris; her mother, Alice Morris; and her stepson, Michael Suter.

Jo-Ann's legacy of service, kindness, and passion for life will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones and the community she touched. May she rest in peace.

Private graveside services will be held at the Omaha National Cemetery, with details of a future celebration of life to be announced.
